Roses are red

I hope there’ll be school tonight (we don’t have the car),

There isn’t a bus back and it’s a a few miles too far 😦

There’s a girl dog I like there, with a shiny black coat,

For the friendliest and wriggliest, she has my vote.

When she walks past, we can’t help it – – – we kiss 😳

If I don’t go tonight, it’s her I will miss 😦

We sit next to each other, while waiting our turn,

I try to be nonchalant, but usually squirm.

I really can’t help it, I think I’m in love,

We belong together, like a hand and a glove.

Roses are red, violets are blue,

But how is a dog expected to woo?

If I were a human, I’d take her a rose,

But as I’m a dog, I’ll offer my nose πŸ˜€

Let’s hope mummy finds a way to get you there. You can’t miss her on Valentine’s day!

  2. Thank you, French Knitter πŸ™‚
I would even walk alongside that long, busy road with all the scary cars to see her again!
