I was first to spot the break-out and did what I could until Mum and Dad came out to help.

They wouldn’t stay together – silly sheep :/

They took little notice of me and carried on eating Mum’s plants!

I was relieved when Mum took charge and gave the familiar commands. I “Come-bye!”d, “Away!”d, “Walk on!”d and “Lie down!”d with enthusiasm and a big grin on my face ๐Ÿ˜€

But they didn’t do as we told them and the old ewe even had the audacity to try and shoo me away!

They didn’t behave like proper sheep at all! ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

My faith in Mum was well-placed, though, for she grabbed some sheep food from a sack, showed them it and they followed her meekly back into the field ๐Ÿ™‚

“That’ll do!”

  1. Now Amos, do you think someone deliberately let those sheep out so that you could practise your new skills?

    • She wouldn’t – – – would she?
Nah – – – she likes her plants too much.

Could it have been Dad, do you think?
He likes making and mending things – – – and the fence needed mending again – –

๐Ÿ˜ฎ You’re not suggesting I might have let them out, are you?
No, my job is to keep an eye on them and make sure they stay where they’re supposed to be and don’t get up to anything ๐Ÿ˜€
Good idea, though – thank you ๐Ÿ˜‰

  2. Clever Amos … And Clever Mum. Sheep really DO just think about their tummies all of the time, don’t they?!?!
